YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Youngstown police have recovered a vehicle that may have been part of a drive-by shooting on Sunday where two people were hit by gunfire.

A black Honda sedan was found on Monday secluded in trees in the yard of a vacant house at 347 Superior Ave. The car had a bullet hole to the body and a window was shot out.

The shooting happened Sunday afternoon on Council Rock Avenue, near Lincoln Park, on the city’s southeast side.

Security at Saint Elizabeth Health Center alerted police that an unidentified person pulled up to the emergency room and dropped off Rahim Johnson, 17, and Samer Awadallah, 20, both suffering with gunshot wounds to the back. The vehicle then sped away. Both men are in stable condition.

According to police reports, Johnson said he was sitting in the rear passenger seat of the black Honda Accord talking with his cousin when a vehicle pulled up to the passenger side of the car and opened fire.  Johnson said he heard six shots. The driver of the Honda took Awadallah and Johnson to the hospital.

The black Honda is registered to Tiauna Randall. Randall told police she allows Awadallah to use her vehicle to drive her to work.
