COITSVILLE TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKBN) — The dashboard camera video from a Coitsville police cruiser involved in a crash last week has been returned to the township police department so its internal affairs department can review it.

Coitsville Police Chief Mike Morris complained on Friday about the way his cruiser’s dashboard camera and recording equipment were taken by the Youngstown Police Department before he had a chance to review it. Officer Donald Dudley’s cruiser and a car collided on McGuffey Road on Youngstown’s East Side shortly after Dudley started chasing a pair of suspected car thieves, who eventually got away.

The driver of the other car, Renee McConnell of Hubbard, remains in critical condition at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
