Holiday cheer heading overseas

Military cards

The holiday season is right around the corner, but not everyone can join in on the fun.

That’s why Pat Catan’s craft stores are hoping to spread holiday cheer to our military men and women with an event called “Operation Christmas Cards.”

Anyone is able to come in to any local Pat Catan’s to create a holiday card, free of charge. The cards will be sent to U.S. service personnel deployed overseas. Pat Catan’s will provide any decorating items and tools needed. All customers need is their creativity.

“In this day and age, you think about all the people that are doing bad in the world and how much stuff is going on,” said manager Michelle Ames. “It’s nice to see something positive because there’s just so much negative.”

The event runs through Friday. For more information, call the Pat Catan’s store at 1923 Ridge Ave., Warren at 330-369-1557.
