Pavlik pleads not guilty

Kelly Pavlik

Rather than appear in court for arraignment, Kelly Pavlik entered a written plea of not guilty.

Pavlik was scheduled to appear in Mahoning Court in Canfield at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The former middleweight boxing champion is accused of not paying a $25 cab fare.

Police arrested him Friday after failing to show up in court on the charges.

His next court hearing is set for November.
