COLUMBIANA, Ohio (WKBN) — A chain reaction crash near a construction zone Friday afternoon left four vehicles damaged and sent two people to area hospitals.
It happened about 12:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes of state Route 11, just north of the Columbiana County line in Beaver Township. The Ohio State Highway Patrol said traffic had come to a stop in the area because of construction just up the road, when an SUV smashed into the rear of a pickup truck.
The truck then hit a minivan, which in turn hit another vehicle. Police said the drivers of the SUV and pickup were taken for treatment, but neither was badly hurt.
One driver was cited in the crash, but no names were released.
