Couple exchange vows in camouflage

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) —  It could be called a shotgun wedding.

A Trumbull County couple got hitched in a unique way Friday afternoon. James and Jenny Fortney of Bristol said their “I Do’s” at Warren City Hall in front of a small group of family and friends.

The bride and groom did not wear traditional attire to the event. Instead, they wore hunter’s orange and camouflage for their big day.

The couple  said both of their families are big into hunting and thought it would be perfect, especially since bow season starts Saturday.

“Nobody wants us to have a party on opening day. It’s her fault I won’t get to go back out hunting in the evening,” James Fortney said.

“It is all my fault, but I got all year so hopefully I will do good this year,” Jenny Fortney said.

James said if he or anybody else in the family catches something Saturday while out hunting, they plan to cook it up at the party for their guests.
