PITTSBURGH (AP) — Authorities in western Pennsylvania have arrested a suspect in a shooting death in a Pittsburgh bar earlier this week.
Thirty-seven-year-old Jay Lamar Morrison is charged with criminal homicide and a firearms crime in Monday’s slaying in the Flamingo Bar in the city’s Hill District.
Police said officers were called to the bar just after 11:30 p.m. Monday and found 40-year-old Harold Cabbagestalk lying on the floor with multiple gunshot wounds. He died early Tuesday.
Witnesses told police the two had been drinking at the bar but began to argue, and Cabbagestalk was shot about eight times.
Police said Morrison was arrested on Thursday in another bar in the Homewood section of the city.
A listed number for Morrison couldn’t be found and it was unclear whether he had an attorney.
