Canton South scored 28 in the opening half en route to a 49-27 victory over West Branch. The Wildcats received a big game from their rushing attack, who gained 217 yards. Kahlil Coleman ran for 80 stripes on 15 carries (1 TD). D.J. Wilson scampered for a 67-yard score and Quantico Moore raced for 56 yardes on 6 attempts. Wilson also led South in receiving with 83 yards on 4 catches (1 TD).
For the Warriors, Logan Nagy led all rushers with 195 yards on 40 carries and a score. West Branch’s quarterback Bryce Butcher completed 15 of 23 for 98 yards and 3 touchdowns.
West Branch falls to 0-5. Next week, the Warriors will welcome Louisville.
Canton South improves to 4-1 after suffering their first loss last week to Carrollton (27-6). The ‘Cats will travel to Marlington next Friday.
