Fundraiser for Craig Beach fire victims held

NEWTON FALLS, Ohio — A craft and gift show was in Newton Falls on Saturday to held to help out victims of a fire.

Vendors brought their finest products to try to help the victims of the Craig Beach fire.

The fire left two families homeless on August 13.

In addition to people’s homemade crafts, there was also a 50-50, a silent auction and baked goods for sale.

The organizer of the event said that the fire hit close to home for her and wanted to help out.

“I did not know the family, but I knew the family had younger children. And they were about the same age as my daughter was when I had the fire back in 2005, so it really hit home,” said Jessica Hampton.

If you would like to donate to the family you can call Jessica at (330) 609-3540.
