BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) — A perfect Fall day for a favorite tradition Sunday in Boardman.
Thousands of people once again filled the township park for the annual Oktoberfest. This is the 37th year for the arts and crafts festival, thrown by the Rotary Club.
Shopping was the main attraction at the Oktoberfest, but there was plenty of food to be had and plenty of entertainment.
The Boardman Rotary also uses the event to collect funds for Operation Warm.
“This is our number one fundraiser throughout the year so we’re able to give back to a number of organizations in the community, such as Salvation Army, Easter Seals, we donate dictionaries to Boardman local schools,” said Sarah Marion, co-chairperson of the Oktoberfest.
The Rotary Club of Boardman has donated nearly $100,000 to various charities over the past two years alone.
