SCOPE under new management

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) — Trumbull County SCOPE, the agency for senior citizens, is officially under new management.

As of Monday, SCOPE is being run by Family and Community Services of Ravenna. Officials had been in talks for months with the Portage County agency.

The deal means programs such as in-home care to seniors citizens that went away after the state revoked the agency’s certification last year as a long term care provider are expected to return, along with other benefits. Five SCOPE employees are expected to lose their jobs as part of the deal.
