Officials: Wind destroys ceramic ArtPrize entry

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) — Officials say a ceramic ArtPrize entry has been destroyed by wind. reports ( ) that Grand Haven resident Brian Kelly’s entry “Velocipedestrian,” which was on display outside the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine Secchia Center in Grand Rapids, was knocked over by wind Tuesday.

“Velocipedestrian” was a sculpture incorporating hand-built bicycle elements. The ongoing ArtPrize competition takes place annually.
