FARRELL, Pa. – Behind their strong running game and stout defense, the Lakeview Sailors beat host Farrell 39-10.

Farrell’s Brandon Gavins pulled in an 86 yard touchdown pass with 5:25 remaining in the first to put the Steelers up 7-0.
But, the Sailors answered on a Zach VanDusen 28 yard touchdown catch to tie things up.
On their next drive, the Sailors’ Marquis Spence scored on a one yard run to take a seven point lead with 8:12 remaining in the first half.
Before the end of the half, the Steelers would close the gap to 14-10 on a 24 yard field goal.
In the third quarter, the Sailors would find the end zone again on a 14 yard touchdown run with 6:17 remaining in the quarter. The extra point was no good, giving Lakeview a 20-10 lead.
Just as the quarter came to an end, Spence punched it in for the Sailors from one yard out to make it 26-10.
In the fourth, it was Spence finding the end zone once again, this time from two yards out to push the lead to 33-10.
Spence would score one more time from 15 yards out, closing out the scoring.
Lakeview will host Cochranton next week.
Farrell will look to rebound next Friday when they host Hickory.
