A man on a bicycle was hit by a car Friday evening on North Main Street in Niles.

NILES, Ohio (WKBN) — A Niles man who was hit by a car while riding his bicycle has died from his injuries.

Gregory Dunn, 54, of Bent Willow Drive in Niles, died Thursday at St. Elizabeth Health Center, according to the Mahoning County Coroner.

Police said Dunn was riding a bike on North Main Street, near Federal Street in Niles, just before 8 p.m. on Sept. 20 when he was struck.

Elizabeth Sheets, 18, was driving the car that hit Dunn. She is expected to face charges after police meet with prosecutors.

Dunn was described as an avid bicyclist.
