Body found in Boardman

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) — The Boardman Police Department is investigating a death after a body was found in a wooden area on Saturday.

Police received a tip around 11:30 a.m., that led them to find a dead body behind the railroad tracks off of Southern Boulevard, near Woodrow Avenue.

The Boardman Police Department is only releasing that the victim is a 22-year-old male.

The coroner was called to the scene, but a cause of death has not yet been released.

Several people gathered at the scene, including some emotional family members of the victim.
