CLEVELAND (AP) — Cleveland is hosting a weekend half-marathon that invokes the city’s rock music roots.
The inaugural Rock ‘n’ Roll Cleveland Half-Marathon and a 3.5-mile mini-marathon kicking off at 8 a.m. Sunday have attracted 7,000 entries.
Runners are expected from Canada, Brazil, Ecuador, Britain and Norway.
There will be more than 22 bands performing on 13 stages along the race route.
The route goes through Cleveland neighborhoods and passes landmarks including the home fields of the Indians and Browns.
The race starts at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum and ends at the Horseshoe casino.
