Youngstown BeerFest benefitted Golden String

It was a beer lovers dream Saturday in downtown Youngstown.

The Covelli Centre opened its doors  for the first Youngstown BeerFest. Inside the centre were over 80 breweries giving out samples of over 200 craft beers.

Guests tasted beverages from the local area, across the country and even across the globe.

“We have a lot of Ohio brewers here. We have a lot of PA people are driving over 60 miles to get here, which is really cool. We have stuff from Canada. We have stuff from Germany. We have stuff from all over the place. We really do have a little bit here for everyone,” said Dominic Gatta, with the Youngstown BeerFest.

Proceeds from the event went to Golden String, a Youngstown-based nonprofit organization that helps people with disabilities.
