BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) — Several people used Sunday’s perfect weather to ride their bike and raise money for charity at the same time.

Lisbon Rail to Trail teamed up with Weaver Family Chiropractic in Austintown for Bike for Children.

The event took place at Boardman High School.

100 percent of the money raised will benefit St. Jude Children Hospital. They also hope to inform participants about the health benefits of bike riding.

“We just wanted to get some people together and have some fun,” said Travis Wallace from Lisbon Rail to Ride. “We have a great group of catrite club members and we santed to invite anyone from the community.”

Wallace was also showing off one of the fasting growing types of bikes called a Catrite. It has two wheels in front and one in the back. It’s known as the safest bike in the world because the rider sits close to the ground and it has a self-centering steering system.
