YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — The Youngstown Inner City Garden presented a check worth $300 to the American Legion Post 472 on Sunday.
The money will held fund the Wounded Warriors, which is a charity that helps injured service members adjust to life when they come home from war.
The money was raised from a pasta dinner, and although the event didn’t reach goal, the money is still greatly appreciated.
“How can you give back to someone that’s lost so much? You see a lot of fundraisers that just want to help themselves and the Youngstown City Garden is about helping other people,” said Youngstown Inner City gardener Mason Carratt.
The Youngstown Inner City Garden provides a place that can be tended year round by the elderly and disabled.
