YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Patricia Owens of Youngstown had the “experience of a lifetime” when she appeared on Monday’s “Let’s Make a Deal” game show.

Owens was visiting her aunt in California in late August when she saw a Craigslist ad for free tickets to a “Let’s Make A Deal” taping. She went with her two cousins.

She performed a rap for host Wayne Brady.

“When he called me, it was right before the big deal and he called me to come up and the way I was moving  my feet, he asked me if I tapped dance. I said no, but I do rap. So he asked me to rap for him, which I had his name in the rap because I had prepared it, so if he picked me, this is what I’m going to do,” Owens said.

On the show, Owens had to choose between two doors and the door she chose was a 60-inch, flat screen television with blu-ray and surround sound worth approximately $3,000. The other contained a trip to St. Lucia valued at $6,000.

“Oh my gosh! The energy! And Wayne Brady, just the energy he has and he’s such a lovely, lovely person. It was just marvelous and you just get really hyped up,” Owens said.

Owens also sat in the audience for a taping of the Arsenio Hall Show.

Her next goal is to be a contestant on “The Price is Right.”
