Double shooting trial under way

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Trial resumes on Monday for a man from Liberty accused in a double shooting from almost five years ago.

Cametrius Adams was one of two men arrested in 2009 on felonious assault and attempted murder charges. Prosecutors say he shot Ameika Brown and her brother Aaron Wright.

On Friday morning, both sides made their opening statements and prosecutors started calling witnesses.

This is actually the second trial for Adams after the first case was dismissed in 2012 when a witness couldn’t be found. Adams was re-indicted last April.
