Woman killed in Mercer crash

GREENVILLE, Pa.  (WKBN) – A two -vehicle accident in Mercer County claimed the life of a Mercer woman.

The accident happened about 7:55 a.m. Friday on Route 18 in Greenville, between Walnut Street and Hempfield Avenue.

According to police reports, Kylee Sagenich, 20, was traveling north on Route 18 when she lost control, crossed the center line, and hit another vehicle driven by Mark Sylvester, 58, of Conneaut Lake.

Sagenich was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sylvester was transported by ambulance to UPMC Greenville.

According to officials with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Route 18 was closed for about three hours between South Main Street and Industrial Road.
