Burglary suspect arrested again

NILES, Ohio (WKBN) — A man who police in Niles have dubbed the Taxi Bandit has been arrested again.

Daniel Hiles, 59, of Warren, was arrested Sunday. Police said Hiles broke into the Noah’s Ark Day Care Center on North Road last week.

Police said footprints in the snow led them to Hiles, who has a long list of breaking and entering offenses and was dubbed the Taxi Bandit in the past for his use of taxis as his getaway vehicle.

Last month, Hiles was charged by Warren Township police for breaking into a church.
