First General Services gets new home

FARREL, Pa. (WKBN) — A business that began in the Shenango Valley in 1984 has a new home.

First General Services of Western Pennsylvania has moved into a larger building in Farrell. They now have 26 workers, up eight from a year ago. The company handles fire repairs, water damage and even mold problems.

“We do everything from start to finish. We do the board up, clean the furniture, rebuild the house, do the roof,” said First General Services CEO Ted Koppel.

Among the items they clean from smoke and water damage are pots, pans, glassware, tools, electronics and clothes.
