Man arrested in deadly crash

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Campbell man has been arrested in connection to a fatal crash that happened on Youngstown’s South Side.

Deone Cray, 19, is in the Mahoning County Jail. He was arrested Tuesday after being indicted last week by a Mahoning County grand jury on one count of aggravated vehicular homicide.

He made his first court appearance on Wednesday where bond was set at $25,000. If Cray posts bond, he must remain on house arrest.

Prosecutors say Cray was behind the wheel and driving drunk when he slammed into a building on Indianola Avenue in September.

DeLouis Clark, III, 31, of Youngstown, was a passenger in the car and was killed in the crash.

Police said Cray left the scene of the accident and went on his own to the hospital where he was treated for minor injuries. Cray later returned to the scene.
