1 killed in New Castle crash

Fatal crash

New Castle, Pa. (WKBN) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon in Lawrence County.

The accident happened about 3:30 p.m. on West State Street.

According to police, Robert Mcquiston, 63, of Edinburg, Pa. was traveling west on West State Street, near Jones Street, when he lost control of the Chevrolet Cobalt he was driving and drove into the path of an oncoming vehicle driven by Sherry Settle, 59, of New Castle.

Mcquiston was transported to Jameson Hospital where he died.

Settle was treated for her injuries at Jameson Hospital.

Mcquiston was not wearing a seat belt. The accident remains under investigation.
