Golden Corral closed

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – A popular restaurant franchise in the area has apparently succumbed to this month’s frigid blast of winter weather.

Poor patronage the last several days at the restaurant on Route 224 in Boardman was the final blow to the restaurant which closed for good on Wednesday.

The owner of the local franchise said business for the buffet restaurant simply wasn’t “robust enough” to support keeping the business open, and the recent extreme weather was just another catalyst in the final decision to close.

Golden Corral is now working on options to get the store re-opened as quickly as possible.

The Boardman location had been in business for about seven years.
