Poland wins AAC thriller

Poland's Jake Wolfe

Jake Wolfe scored 20 points with 6 rebounds, as Poland held on to beat Fitch 60-54 in overtime Friday night in Austintown.

Wolfe missed a pair of free throws at the end of regulation to force the extra session.

Dan Black added 13 in the win for the Bulldogs, while Kyle Dixon and Jared Burkert each finished with 11.  Burkert also tallied 5 rebounds for Poland.

Jessie Driver led Fitch with a game-high 26 points and 8 rebounds.  Alex DiFrancesco also reached double-figures with 10.

Poland remains atop the All-American Conference standings, improving to 13-2 overall (8-1 AAC).  Poland returns to the floor Tuesday at Boardman.

Fitch drops to 11-2 overall (7-2 AAC).  The Falcons hit the road to Niles on Saturday.
