HOWLAND, Ohio (WKBN) — A Howland man is at the Trumbull County Jail on a drug charge after the Trumbull Ashtabula Group (TAG) Law Enforcement Task Force conducted a raid at his home Monday morning.
Marshall Finch, 50, 2572 Athens Drive S.E., was arrested on a felony charge of trafficking in drugs after the 11:30 a.m. raid by TAG and the Howland Police Department. The task force said it has been investigating Finch for two months.
Police said they had to force entry into Finch’s home because he would not open the door following repeated knocks by investigators. Once inside, they found Finch lying on the living room couch and he was arrested without incident.
During the search, police found heroin and marijuana, $340 in cash, drug paraphernalia, a digital scale, packaging materials, cell phones, a firearm and other items police believe were purchased from the sale of drugs.
They also found four dogs and no running water at the home. The dogs are now in the custody of the Trumbull County Dog Warden, according to TAG officials.
Finch will be arraigned Tuesday in Warren Municipal Court.
