Senior project gives girls the chance to be Cinderella

CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) — A Canfield High School senior hopes to help other girls look their best for prom, school dances and formal events.

Megan Factor is using a dress donation drive as her senior project for National Honor Society.

She’s asking classmates and community members to drop off gently used formal dresses, shoes, or accessories.

“I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to afford dresses for all the dances, but I know there are some girls in the community that can’t, and it’s sad becauseI think everyone deserves to have a Cinderella moment like that, so I just wanted to be able to help as many girls as I could,” said Megan Factor, a Canfield High School senior.

She’ll be collecting donations through Thursday.

You can stop by Canfield United Methodist Church from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The items will be sent to Diva Donations in North Lima.

It’s a formal clothing closet, where girls can rent dresses to wear on their special night.
