No charges in crash that killed woman, baby

LEBANON, Pa. (AP) – Police in central Pennsylvania say no criminal charges will be filed in connection with a two-vehicle crash that resulted in the death of a pregnant woman and the child she was carrying.

Nineteen-year-old Angelina Noggle, who was nine months pregnant, died Dec. 15 in a collision with a pickup truck at a snow-covered Lebanon intersection.

The baby boy was delivered at a hospital but died several days later.

Lebanon police Chief Dan Wright said Tuesday an accident investigation concluded that the biggest factors in the crash were Noggle’s failure to stop at a stop sign at the intersection and the speed of her vehicle as it approached the intersection.

Wright said witnesses reported that Noggle’s car did not appear to be turning as it entered the intersection.
