2 indicted in meth lab case

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Two of the three people arrested during a methamphetamine lab raid in Coitsville last week were indicted Thursday by a Mahoning County grand jury.

Aaron Knupp, 38, originally was charged with drug trafficking after his arrest Friday at his home on John White Road. On Thursday, he was indicted on three new counts, including illegal manufacture of drugs and possession of chemicals to make methamphetamine.

He is due in court next week.

Seth Keyes, 36, of Hubbard, is  facing a count of possession of heroin after police said they found heroin in his pockets after he tried to run away from the scene during the raid.

On Monday, he appeared in Austintown Court on a series of forgery charges. He also is due in court next week.

Both men are being held at the Mahoning County Jail.

Police said they recovered approximately $500,000 of methamphetamine from Knupp’s home.
