Brandon Lee has played alongside such prolific scorers as Andy Holko, Austin Rimer and Chad Oliver. Within the next few days, Lee will most likely join an exclusive group as he needs just 26 points to reach the 1,000-point plateau for his career.
As a freshman, Brandon played in just two games, making 2 of 5 from the field for an average of 2.5 points per game. In 2011-12, #4 was one of only three players to compete in all 21 games. That year, Lee averaged 9.4 points, shot 74.6% from the free throw line and snagged 4.4 caroms per game. Just last year, he scored 16.5 points while hauling down 5.3 boards and had 3.2 steals. This season, he is averaging just under 20 points per game (19.9) while tallying 5.1 rebounds and 3.6 steals.
Brandon also has totaled 316 rebounds, 152 assists, and 179 steals.
The Panthers are set to meet Bloomfield on the road tomorrow. Then, Mathews will make their way to Bristolville on Saturday. Coach Craig Giesy has said that he will try and allow his senior to eclipse the mark at home if at all possible.
