Fitch clinches AAC crown

The Austintown Fitch Girls Basketball team clinched the All-American Conference crown with a 52-45 win over Struthers Thursday night.

It’s the Falcons first girls’ basketball conference title since 1994.

Megan Sefcik led the Falcons with 19 points, while Maura Bianco added 12 in the win.

Struthers standout McKenna Shives led all scorers with 24 points in the setback.

Fitch improves to 18-1 on the season, while Struthers drops to 14-5.
