Semi catches fire on I-80

HUBBARD TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKBN) – Emergency crews are working to clear the scene of a tractor-trailer fire on Interstate 80 in Hubbard Township.

A semi-truck heading east on I-80 in Hubbard Township caught fire about 11:45 a.m. Thursday. The truck pulled over near a weigh station in the area.

Officers on the scene said a brake locked up on the semi and caught fire. The truck was carrying lime which officials said is not considered hazardous or combustible.
