Employees, customer held at gunpoint

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Two employees and a customer were held at gunpoint during a robbery at a Warren gas station late Thursday.

According to police reports, Melissa Woodrig and Chad Miller were working at the BP, 1290 Market St., Warren, about 11:50 p.m. when a masked man walked into the store.

The suspect pulled a small revolver and demanded money from Woodrig who was behind the counter. Woodrig told police she asked Miller what to do, and Miller went to the cash register, took out the money and placed it in a plastic bag. He then handed the bag to the suspect.

While Miller was at the register, the suspect ordered a customer to go behind the counter and get on the ground.

The suspect took off on foot with the bag of money containing $100 to $200, according to the police report.

Police and a K-9 unit searched the area but did not locate the suspect.
