LISBON, Ohio (WKBN) – A Lisbon man was sentenced Friday in the death of a Salem girl.
Todd Roberts, 28, was sentenced to four years in prison after pleading guilty in November to aggravated vehicular homicide. He will also serve four years probation after his release for leaving the scene of an accident.
Roberts was behind the wheel of a pickup truck Nov. 9, 2012 when he hit and killed Olivia Thompson, 9, as she was crossing East State Street in Salem. He admitted to drinking before the accident.
Roberts left the scene of the crash, but turned himself in the next day.
Thompson was a fourth grade student at Reilly Elementary School.
