Mooney halls filled with promise

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The hallways were packed Sunday afternoon at Cardinal Mooney High School.

The school opened up its doors to parents and students interested in a Mooney education.

Prospective students toured the Catholic high school and learned about the academics offered at the school.

School President Rev. Gerald DeLucia said the student-to-teacher ratio, personalized attention and faith-based education are just some reason parents choose Mooney.

“It’s a Catholic school but we welcome all faiths but with one basic foundation: That there is one God and there’s faith in God,” said Rev. DeLucia. “That makes all the difference in the world to really achieving good things in life. That’s what Cardinal Mooney is all about.”

Sunday’s open house also wrapped up Mooney’s Catholic Schools Week celebration.
