Mic’d Up: Girard’s Craig Hannon

There may not be a bigger surprise this season in boys high school basketball than Girard.  We take you inside the Indians locker room… with 2nd year head coach Craig Hannon…Mic’d Up.

“There kids have been very self-motivated.  I think they’ve been told a lot that they’re not good enough or circumstances may not be in their favor, so I don’t really have to mitivate this group,” said Hannon.

The Indians have already won 14 games, and they’ll start tournament play at home as a 3-seed.

“I just like to hear that our kids play really hard. no matter what the circumstance, or tht time, no matter what, they play with a lot of heart. We’re undersized a little bit, and we can’t just go out and beat people because of our physical stature. we have to play with heart, and we’ve done it for 16 games all year. It’s not always about the game, it’s about the people you have. and i have great people that i have on my team. so it’s really nice to see,” Hannon added.
