According to Dr. Shayesteh, 95 percent of heart disease risk factors can be controlled with diet and exercise. Lifestyle changes are the key to staying healthy and while there is temptation to veer from that healthy course during special occasions, Shayesteh says you don’t have to sacrifice a romantic dinner or decadent dessert, but you should be mindful.
