Two indicted in soldier robbery

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Two Trumbull County men are facing charges after police say they kidnapped a local soldier and forced him to withdraw money from his bank account.

Daniel D. Boone Jr., 24, of Brookfield, and Juan D. Jordan, 23, or Warren, were indicted Thursday by a Trumbull County grand jury on two felony counts each of robbery and kidnapping in the Jan. 20 robbery of 29-year-old William J. Hollis.

According to police, Boone and Jordan took Hollis at gunpoint to two ATM machines in Niles and made him withdraw money from his account. Hollis withdrew a total of about $500 from the machines.

Hollis was able to later escape from the two suspects and call for help.
