Landlord dispute ends in shooting

LAKE MILTON, Ohio (WKBN) — One man was injured following a landlord dispute in western Mahoning County Friday evening.

Steve Hogan and his son were being evicted from their Forrest Avenue home in Lake Milton. Hogan’s son went to the landlord’s house just down the street and threatened the landlord, Steve Mullens, and his two sons while they were eating.

Mullens’ 21-year-old son was outside discussing the issue when the elder Hogan drove his car toward him. The 21-year-old fired a shot at the car, striking Steve Hogan in the shoulder.

He has a non-life threatening injury.  The 21-year-old does have a concealed carry permit, but it’s for West Virginia.  He could face charges in the incident.
