Ohio Sen. Portman to lead trafficking forum

U.S. Sen. Rob Portman

DAYTON, Ohio (AP) – Ohio’s Republican U.S. senator plans a forum in Dayton on sex trafficking and exploitation.

Sen. Rob Portman’s office says former Gov. Bob Taft, anti-trafficking activists and other community leaders will take part Friday at the University of Dayton.

Portman, who is co-chairman of a Senate caucus on the issue, is promoting legislation he says would better protect missing and exploited children who are often the most vulnerable.
