CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. (AP) – Officials at a south-central Pennsylvania high school say they’ve found the student behind a Twitter page where students anonymously posted cruel things about each other.
The Public Opinion said the Chambersburg Area School District has announced the student is being disciplined in accordance with district policy and no legal action is being taken. The student’s name was not released.
The district said it worked with the Chambersburg Area Senior High School and the technology department to identify the student.
School principal Buddy Chapel said any student found to be an administrator on the site would get 10 days of out-of-school suspension and would undergo administrative review with a recommendation to the school board for expulsion.
Chapel said no student at his school is going to die because of cyber-bullying.
