YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Suspect Matthew Slaven entered a not guilty plea to his charges of  having sexual conduct with a minor, sexual battery and corrupting another with drugs and was arraigned Wednesday at Judge Lou D’Apolito’s court in Youngstown.

Police arrested Slaven, 24, on Tuesday.

According to police reports, the 14-year-old accuser said she met Slaven on Facebook. She alleged that on June 3, 2013, she was walking around her neighborhood and talking to Slaven.

According to her testimony in the report, Slaven picked her up and took her to his residence in Poland Village, where they smoked marijuana. The two then had sex, and the accuser stated that she did not want to have sex and did not fight Slaven off of her.

The reported accuser’s mother found out about the incident when she saw Facebook messages between the two on her daughter’s iPod. The police report was filed June 11, 2013.
