Aviation Museum coming to Howland

HOWLAND, Ohio (WKBN )– Trumbull County will soon house a little bit of aviation history.

That’s because a groundbreaking was held today for the Ernie Hall Aviation Museum in Howland.

Housed at SLOAS Airfield on North River Road, the museum will be a replica of the original Ernie Hall hangar. He ran the Hall Flying School on state Route 46 near Warren for more than 50 years.

Hall also once flew with the Wright brothers, ran an aviation school and trained pilots during World War One.

Construction on the $160,000d project is set to start in March and be completed by August.
