MOTORCYCLE-LIGHTS-ACCIDENT

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) – Detectives with the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office are searching for the person who stole a disabled veteran’s motorcycle before he could go on his honeymoon.

A statement from the sheriff’s office said 66-year old Calvin Teeple of White Mills, Pa., was in the Hope Mills area last week when the bike was stolen while it was secured on a trailer which was parked in his son-in-law’s driveway.

The sheriff’s office said Teeple and his wife were en route to Florida to celebrate their marriage and had stopped over in Cumberland County to visit family.

The sheriff’s office identified the bike as a blue and white Harley Davidson Heritage Softail being pulled on a chrome transport trailer with Pennsylvania license tag XR 55086.
