Youngstown on the hunt for good teachers

 

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Youngstown City Schools are looking for a few good teachers.

They hope to find some next month in the state capital.

Ohio’s eight major urban school districts will join forces for a statewide job fair March 8 in Columbus.

The human resources department, and administrators from Youngstown City Schools, will be conducting on-site interviews with teaching candidates.

Recruiting quality teachers to come work in Youngstown, or other urban districts.”We’re looking for special ed, we’re also looking for math, science, social studies teachers, psychologists, a host of different openings that we have in our district,” said Karen Green, assistant superintendent, Youngstown City Schools.

The Ohio 8 Coalition Job Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  March 8 at the Aladdin Shrine Center in Columbus.
