Mic’d Up: Brian Beany, Austintown Fitch

Last Friday night, the Fitch boys basketball team tied a single-season record posting its 19th win. The Falcons embark on tournament play as one of the most successful teams in program history.  We get up close and personal with the Falcons, with Head Coach Brian Beany Mic’d Up.

“Any time you win the amount of games that we’ve won, any coach will tell you that makes it extra special,” Beany said.   “Nobody cares who the leading scorer is night in and night out. They all care about one thing…trying to get the W for the team.  I guess I’d label myself as a players coach. I love being around the players.  Those guys know I care about them. I’ll go to battle for them, and kids appreciate that.”
