Tim Horton’s, a Canada-based café and bake shop, is planning on opening 25 locations in Youngstown within the next five years, according to a Tuesday press release.
The new locations are part of already-signed development agreements which include plans to open stores in almost 100 U.S. locations by the end of 2018, mostly in the Midwest.
The announcement was part of a presentation to investors at a Tuesday conference. The company said it believes the plan will result in a U.S. operating income of $50 million by 2018.
“As the largest quick service restaurant market in the world, and one that is still growing, we are committed to the U.S.” the company said in the release. “Our proprietary research demonstrates that we have made significant inroads and progress in building consumer brand awareness and convenience in our core and priority markets.”
